"Lotus"

Lotus- A plant believed to be jujube or elm and referred to in Greek legend as yielding a fruit that induced a state of dreaming and contented forgetfulness in those who ate it.

     Any aquatic plant of the genus Nelumbo, of the water lily family, having shieldlike leaves and showy, solitary flowers usually projecting above the water.

     Jujube-a small, chewy fruit flavored candy or lozenge, Chinese date.

     Elm- any tree of the genus ulmus, as U. procera, characterized by the gradually spreading columnar manner of growth of its branches.

    Lozenge-a small flavored tablet made from sugar or syrup of and often medicated.

                   A diamond-shaped heraldic charge.

    Herald-a royal or official messenger.

     This is my Lotus.  I don't know where she is right now.  Yet, wherever she is, I hope that she is just fine for whatever trials she have and whatever path she takes.
